A handoff worth keeping.

Give the next reader a coherent release record.

Lead with the scope

Explain the intended change and its boundaries before listing completed checks. A handoff is easier to assess when it answers what will change, what might be affected, and which assumptions remain.

Connect the evidence

A link is helpful when it has context. Record the observation in your own words and attach an authorized evidence URL if useful. Release Desk stores the reference; it does not fetch the external document or validate the claim.

Make ownership explicit

Owner labels describe a person or role in the record. In the individual pilot they do not invite colleagues, grant permissions, send notifications, or establish formal approval.

Export a snapshot

A release brief brings together scope, rollout, rollback, and checks in a text file. CSV and JSON provide complete workspace exports. Review the contents and recipients before sharing them outside the workspace.

PUT IT INTO PRACTICE

A place for the next release.
